The role will ensure that technology, processes, people and data are aligned to deliver and support the strategic and operational needs of the business where data and information are required. Governance of the design and delivery of data and information process and people capabilities to support and deliver require business outcomes in accordance with the relevant strategy. Resilient and practical - Yorkshire Water is an established utility with proactive and reactive demands, the role will require presence in both aspects of that operation Proven track record of large-scale Technology & Data solution design and delivery, preferably in the utilities sector or asset management sector, undertaking a senior architectural role. We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1-2 days in the office per week. Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (notionally 2-3 days in the office per week - Bradford) Work type: This is a permanent opportunity, working full time, 37 hours per week, within our working window of 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday- Friday We have 2 exciting opportunities for Modelling Data & GIS Technicians to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our regulators and customers. We work closely with our operational and programme delivery colleagues and across a number of contract partners to ensure we deliver high quality outputs from our models and data for a wide variety of challenges across the business, where you will be able to develop your own area of responsibility and expertise. What skills & qualifications you will need: • Educated to A level or Tech level • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Experience of report and presentation writing and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts • Self-driven with an ability to identify and source data sets from both inter-nal and external stakeholders to support analysis and decision making • Strong data manipulation and analytical skills, with an eye for detail • Proficient in the use of IT systems including excel • Owns and has a positive attitude to solving problems • Rigorous attention to detail to ensure 'right first time' performance • An ability to work on your own initiative and manage own workload to support the Modelling and Data and Environmental Modelling teams Although our assets are operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year the company is committed to support flexible work patterns and job share options, where possible, to give you more control over your time and responsibilities.
